Teaching Overview

Teaching is an essential aspect of Urban Research Theater. We can accommodate almost any pedagogical situation and are eager to expand our teaching opportunities in the next few years. Our previous teaching experience includes:

  • Short introductory workshops in physical training and song work at Boston College, Yale University, and Lincoln Center.
  • Three-day "Another City" workshops integrating studio work with urban expeditions throughout New York City.
  • Three-day intensives at The Genesis Project (Philadelphia), Gala Hispanic Theatre (Washington DC), and CAVE Arts Space (NYC).
  • Weekly workshop series offered at Actors Movement Studio (2010) and Theaterlab NYC (2007).
  • Regular semester-long courses taught at Brooklyn College, CUNY.
  • Two-week intensive at Teatro Ya Ya Ya (Segovia, Spain).
