ABOUT THE ENSEMBLE


Douglas Allen graduated from Michigan State University's Theatre program with a B.A. in 1998. He has been engaged with acting, The American Mime Theatre, modern dance, and butoh at venues such as The Joyce Soho, Jacob's Pillow, The National Arts Club, LaMama E.T.C. and DTW. Along with collaborating extensively with Michael Freeman, he is a member of Ollom Movement Art, and toured the east coast with the Jungian production, M.U.D. (Men Under Dirt) where he played Shiva, The Divine Masculine. He is a published poet and loves owls and all shades of purple. Many thanks to Shakespeare, and Maximilian and Ben for their writing and direction, respectively, and to the cast and crew.

Kasidy Devlin - a New York City based actor, clown, and mask performance artist. Recent credits include NEXT!, HERE Theater; Pulverize, Long Island One Act Fest.; Monkey King, Visual Expressions; Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Waterfront Series; Madness of Prince Hamlet, Dell' Arte International. Kasidy has trained at In Bocca al Lupo in Italy; Dell Arte International; HB Studios; The Julliard School.

Sara Galassini is originally from Siena, Italy where she studied Ballet from the age of 5 to 12 at the Associazione Ballerini Senesi and started dancing again at 16 with the Dance Company Spazio Vita. At that same time Sara began to study acting at il Piccolo Teatro di Siena with Teatro2 and later with LaLut and Plexus Solaris EU program. In 2000 she met Ellen Stewart in Italy and played the main role in The monk and the hangman's daughter. Soon after she moved to NYC where she has studied acting with Michael Howard at Michael Howard Studios, Geraldine Baron and most recently John Strasberg. She has been working for the last 11 years as a member of La MaMa E.T.C. and the Great Jones Company with which she has performed in Seven, Trojan Women, Romeo and Juliet, Mythos Oedipus, Dionysus Filius Dei, and Great Jones Variations, to name a few. With the Company she has performed in NYC, Italy, Poland, Austria and Taiwan.

Sara is also a member of Loco 7 Puppet Theater Company with which she has worked since 2003 for the productions of 9 Windows, Open Door, Room to Panic and their latest In Retrospect that will tour in Rome and London in the summer. She has recently performed in the Tokyo Kid Brothers Hitohira 2010 and in the NuDance Theater site specific Si Seulement si. Main Theater roles include Elettra, Aphrodite, Athena, Erigone, Euridice, Nora Helmer, Fillide. She is also a singer songwriter and collaborates with composer musician Yukio Tsuji for the making of their original music. As a poet Sara has won the Second Prize for Premio Astrolabio 2009.

Mara Radulovic is an actor and teacher of acting and movement. Originally from Belgrade, Yugoslavia she trained with Gordana Maric at the Belgrade Academy of Dramatic Arts and completed advanced training in London at the Lee Strasberg Studio. She received her MFA in Acting from Brandeis University. She has acted with some of most prominent Theater Companies of South Eastern Europe, including the Yugoslav Drama Theatre.

Her credits include past performances in television and leading roles on stage. Co-founder of Michael Chekhov Actors Studio Boston, she is currently teaching acting and movement at Emerson College (Boston, MA), working with Urban Research Theatre and studying Michael Chekhov technique (with MICHA Association). Certified in Yoga, she is committed to her daily yoga practice and also incorporates yoga principles into her acting work.

Raphael Sacks is an international voice and theater artist from New York City. This summer, with Stockholm's Teater Slava, he improvised vocal solos for audiences of up to 8,000 people, and played Tristan in a new adaptation of Trisan och Isolde. In Rotterdam, Netherlands, he was a featured artist at the Institute For the Living Voice; and in London he premiered with the English National Opera.

Since moving to New York a year and a half ago, Raphael has sung at BAM with Meredith Monk (Songs of Ascension); originated roles ranging from musical theater by Pete Mills (Evergreen) to guerilla theater directed by Rachel Chavkin (Saint's Tour); and acted Chekhov and Shakespeare with Eve Best (Three Sisters and Othello). In other performances he appeared at Judson Memorial Church, HERE, PS 122, The Tank, and Manhattan Children's Theater, among others. This May, Raphael's new theater company LOOM is touring NYC parks.

Liz Stanton* is a theatre artist who wears many hats, including: Director, Actor, Singer, Sound Designer, Composer and Teacher. Acting credits include: Naropa University (Vision of Flight and The Bacchae: In Song and Vocal Extreme); Giving Voice Productions (Power to Pleasing: The Sex Lives of Teenage Girls, Pressure to Prove: The Sex Lives of Teenage Boys; Promiscuity, Passion, and Promises: The Sex Lives of Teenagers; and Hook-ups and Hang-ups: College Students Speak Out). Holderness Theater Company, NYC actor and sound designer: (The Winter's Tale, Cymbeline, The Changeling, The Rover, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, Einstein's Dreams and Life of Spiders). Sound design: National Shakespeare Company, (The Tempest, As You Like It) Burning Coal Theater (Romeo and Juliet), Superhero Clubhouse (Mercury) and P.S. 122 (Miracle Tomato). Liz received her MFA in Theatre: Contemporary Performance from Naropa University. Liz is grateful to be working with Urban Research this spring.

Elizabeth Hope Williams is an actress, singer, dancer, and collaborator. New York Credits include: Church (PS 122 and The Public), David Dorfman's Underground (Lincoln Center), Murder in the Cathedral (Church of St. Joseph), The Erpingham Camp (WorkShop Theatre), The Three Sisters (The Wild Project), Big Love (The Wild Project), String Theory (CSV), John Goldfarb, Please Come Home (NYFringe '07), Willy Nilly (NYFringe '09), 1,000,000 Forgotten Moments (LMCC), and most recently The Three Incestuous Sisters (Overturn Theatre Ensemble/CSV). Other credits include: Richard III, "The Kennedy Center Honors," The Rocky Horror Show, Chicago, Urinetown, The Skin of Our Teeth, and The Puppeteers. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a BFA in Music Theatre and is a recent graduate of The Studio / New York.
