Theater is two meetings.

One meeting takes place in the intimacy of long-term working partners. Another takes place across the encounter with strangers. Each carries its own potential for joy and discovery.

Urban Research Theater is an ongoing partnership for performance research on song, movement, and action. The basic terms of our work are sweat, silence, awareness, and interaction. We strive to open spaces for a new relation between art, practice, and city.
